good bye mainland................ for the week at least
From Cape Jervis to Kangaroo Island
After a stunning drive from Victor Harbor to Cape Jervis the Toaster and crew were in need of food and drink. After watching the sun set over the water. The Toaster was given 80 litres of diesel from the caltex, the Dazinator snacked on anything she could find and the others had a couple of pots at the local. The Toaster was then docked for the night down by the pier, it wanted to be first in line for the big overseas trip. The crew was on there way to Kangaroo Island.

Technical difficulties have been experienced
Due to a computer error there has been some vital photographic evidence lost, about 11 days to be precise. As a result we don't want you all to miss out on all the fun so we ask that you use your imagination and visualise the following....
- A photo of the Beachport pier one of the longest in SA, that Daisy decided to jump from the end and had to swim all the way back to shore.
- The historic Beachport hotels Monday night spinning wheel(a must do) resulting in many 50 cent pots.
- The skipper and his wife enjoying a couple of fresh crayfish from the small port of Carpenter Rocks.
- The skippers many attempts at fishing, well there were not any photos of fish..... Just him fishing
- Amazing photos of the Toaster watching the sunrise and set over the water at a place called the third ramp just out of Robe.
- The Toaster and crew posing in front of the incredible BIG LOBSTER in Kingston
- A shot of the captains arse taken from inside the Kingston pub just minutes after Melbourne's convincing defeat of the pies.
- The Toaster went on its first boat ride, across the mighty Murry River. At first we thought there was a deaf and dumb mute controlling the boat. By the end of the trip the crew of the toaster realised that it was not a boat at all, we were in fact being dragged across the river on a wire guided barge and the bloke pretending to steer the wire guided barge was not a deaf and dumb mute but the Wellington pies supporter club main man.........(the most missed photo of all lost)
- Breath taking postcard like photos of Victor Harbor
- Kellie performing stunts on the Toastie Bike (bike named by Chris Manix)
- The Skipper at the Tantanoola pub with a wolf like creature (ask Stu Mc)
The first night on the 9 inch latex
The Toaster finaly rolls out of the Rat......

As previously mentioned the Toaster and crew took a considerable time to get there shit together, but on the morning of Sunday the third of June 2007 the mission began. The crew of the Toaster, as many would know (Maureen) took the whole motor home thing a little to literally thus the pace was slow. The Toaster pilot was heard muttering something about "travelling with Emelda Marcos". There first destination was the boarder. Many wonderful places in Victoria were considered but the uncharted coast of S.A was chosen as the Toasters maiden voyage. First stop Mt Gambier............... The mount provided the team with a few groceries and the first of many Melbourne slabs. The temp was cold 9 degrees and therefore the site seening was limited to this photo of the famous Blue lakes.
The "TOASTER" the coaster with the mosta
There were many kind people that helped create what is now know to many as The Toaster. In no particular order, a big thanks must go to the newly married Mr and Mrs Dekker. Whilst on there honeymoon the Toaster crew took over the running of there house and made them selves quite at home. Pearcy filled his ipod(23 gig..), while Kellie watched movies and Mike and Daisy fought off the local cats... The Dekker house provided a sanctuary for the crew. The Tippett clan Liss, Steve, Amber and the newly arrived Bonnie were also vital to the Toaster and crew. They welcomed the Pearce's back into town and also there home. Steve's careful and measured approach to engineering is one of the main reasons the coaster became the Toaster. Steve was often heard pulling Pearcy back from making rash decisions as Dekker swilled again from his bottle of red! Iggy should also rate a special mention for being Mike's first love, although this was short lived as Mike and Daisy's relationship began to blossom (there will be more on this subject later). Mr and Mrs Dale and Bobbie Ellis for unmeasureable support. Paul and Barb for there nine inch latex. Simon Franklin; electrician to the stars must also be thanked for his hard nose no nonsense approach to business!
A special mention must got out to Pacey for doing Fuck all!!!! Matt Dusting for his many words of wisdom and and the actual name "The Toaster"
Local Ballarat tradesmen Mark Phelps at Ballarat Joinery, the big fella Shane from Ian Grevilles auto eletrical and Shane Romeo from Ace Enginerring were happy to see the back end of the Toaster as it was often at there work place before they opened and sometimes after they left... Thanks must also go out to Jody and Andrew for helping establish The Toaster Trip.....blog.
The Reno looking back.....
The birth of the "Toaster" was a long and expensive labour. Matt the handyman thought it would only take "a couple of days", he was wrong. Many weeks and many questions from the concerned wife later "THE TOASTER" the coaster with the mosta started to take shape. The short stay in Ballarat soon became a long one.
The Coaster prior to becoming "THE TOASTER"
The Beginning.........................
The Toaster Trip first began as a Sunchasing dream. Created in the lounge room in Richmond/Kew, maybe even first raised in the back room at the Tude. Sick of the peak hour "Snarls",long ques at the check out, and massive hours at work (those pole were sure getting Matt down) it was decided there must be a better way. The Sunchaser provided the newly married 3 all they needed, the idea was to head north and chase the sun. Soon after the wedding the three became four. The family was near complete Matt, Kell, Daisy and the new man Mike. Not long after the new acquisition, Chain Reaction was sold (damn Jews)
